Week 31

Friday was week 31 and I actually weighed myself despite mother nature hangin around and my youngest and all her behavavioral glory and it surprised me, wasnt too bad, was 203.3.-  has been pretty stable, considering....and in about another week SCHOOL OFFICIALLY STARTS! YEA!! but we're still fighting with my youngests' school , dont know who her teacher is since they banned her from going on the last day and for those of you who know us, will know what I"m talking about......anyhow....i'm on a softball team with my oldest daughter and my sisterin law for my oldest daughter's  special olympics team and today was practice was rained out....well, i need to go but wanted to update everyone. will put up a recent picture soon...

Sorry, has been very crazy with headaches and children and stuff and keep forgetting to update this thing but will get better soon.

Weeks 24 - 27

Sorry, I've been forgetting to update this. weight has pretty much stayed the same, give or take a pound or two and last week I didnt weigh in  and this past week and weekend have been sick and vertigo came back and now an infection.....so....havent been doing much. will update when i can

WEEK 23 June 13, 2008

It's been a very long struggle to lose the small amount I've been able to lose. Mind you, I"m glad I've lost what I have and have been able to sustain better eating habits but darn, has it been hard. There are times when motivation lacks and energy wanes... I would love to be below the 2 mark...and I"m trying...at times it doesnt seem possible, doesnt help that I'm an emotional eater....but anyway....I weighed in 201.6, down from last weeks, so that is good. Ken didnt weigh in but I"m guessing around 208-209 and so the combined weigh won't be accurate ...I will check back in when I can.- dee

week 22 June 6,2008

Hello, Hey, I'm only 1 day late!! not bad!!!Great News, my little girls' t-ball team won the 1st game of the playoffs and plays again on Monday....I did remember to weigh in Friday...just not to update spaces...but i'm here....very tired but i'm here....I weighed in at 202.2 and Ken weighed in at 207, our combinee total is 409.2. We've been doing alot of running this week and of course got our exercise in Thursday night when we went to the Razorback Stadium to see Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban in concert, compliments of the Walmart Shareholders weeks, and a few days prior to that saw Taylor Swift!!! I actually got a few minutes to update ya'll! Well t his is short but sweet, as still have things to do and clean laundry for everyone....wish us luck for next week!!

Week 21 May 30,2008

Hello, its me, late again. seems like my lifestory these days. too many things going on at once and 3 children in different directions and 1 car....go figure...Anyway....I(dee) weighed in at 203.8,  and Ken weighed in at 207.0 for a combined total of 410.8.  We keep teetering up and down a pound or two...Hectic Schedules and hot windy weather doesnt help.... I still eat healthier than I ever have and am still a size smaller which is good. .  Gotta go for now , ttfn

week 20 May 23

well Here we go again with the memory loss!!!anyway, this will be short, on friday of last week (may 23) Dee weighed in  204.4 and Ken weighed in at 206.7 for a combined total weight of 411.10, numbers dont l ook good for now but not for long....tomorrow is friday and weigh in again and prob. won't be very good , havent been exercising regularly, has been sooo crazy busy.  I've been walking alot tho with the schedule as crazy as it is...we'll see.....ttfn..

week 19 - 5/16-08

OMG I know its been forever since I've been on here and to tell the truth, I kept forgetting and being distracted and then would remember but had so many things going on that I'd get distracted again....It's a vicious cycle that needs to be broken. let's get down to business.....week 17: We've stopped weighing in- i know....i know....shouldn't have done that but....what r u gonna do? Week 18- I weighed in at 202, not bad. considering I didnt weigh in the previous week and Ken didn't weigh in, has been working lots of hours, if I had to guess, id' say 205 but I can't do a total  since I dont know... Week 19- I weighed at 203.4- up  1.4 pounds :( from  the previous week and Ken weighed in at 207.4 and I'm gonna say up 2.4 pounds  for a total combine weight for week 19 of 410.8 :( , Ken has been very busy driving truck, doing insurance and helping me with the new corp. we set up, and.....we now have 3 new additions to the family- 3 4week old kittens that were born in our haybarn. and all so very active now and very adorable., in between t-ball games for our little girl and softball practice for the oldest and picking up the middle child from tennis....can we say exhausted???? great news!!! our oldest is leaving for the Arkansas Special Olympics State Games in Searcy for Softball!! Yea!!!! Well gotta go for now. I promise I will try to keep up to date!!!

week 16

ok ok. I"m way late in updating... sue me....lol... We've all been sick in this house for the exception of our oldest daughter, who may have been a carrier since she works in a preschool....hmmmmm coincidence????maybe, it could have also come from our youngest, who was sick a few days prior to me and Ken being sick but of course, it takes up lots longer to recup....Anyway...for this week, I weighed in at 201.8 down .6 of a pound from last week and ken weighed in at 204.4- down .2 of pound from last week making our combined total weight being: 406.2! Of course, we were sick this week and couldnt do much of anything, except pray  extensively to the porcelain gods! on the bright side, it's been nice weather and my youngest doesnt have to get up so early to catch the school  bus at 620 am!, since her schedule has changed to being picked up at 8 now! of course, she also gets home a little earlier too! Well, I'm gonna sign off for now. BTW, did I tell ya, my sister in law is now over 100 pounds lost! and a size 12 fits her almost a little too big! A first! Yea! bye bye...

Week 15 - April 11 2008

SmileI know, I'm late again in updating..it's been crazy here with schedules and the girls' t ball and softball practices and meetings at school for the young but wild one and I kept forgetting....I did manage to get in some exercise, like running up and down the bleachers at the ball park while the oldest is practicing....and some squats....so thats good.and  weighin wasnt too bad, in fact we both lost!yea! We're going to continue this even afterwards, because it helps keep in track.  Let's get to it, shall we? ok, Ken weighed in at 204.6, down 0.8 from last week and Dee weighed in  at 202.4- down 1.2 from last week, making our total combined weight at(drum roll please---bbbbbrrrrrrrrr-kkkchchsh)- 407.0 for week 15! Yea! Ok, who all thinks Mark should stay and who all thinks Roger should stay, lets see a raise of hands! Me, I'm  all girl power- either Kelli or Ali! Go Girls! My daughter's prom went good and the pictures went great and look good and the kids were adorable! Now we're just working on the little one an d try and gets hers meds straightened out... She has ADHD with ODD and possibly something else, she needs to see a neurologist to figure out. Her Behavior is soo out of control and this new med the dr. has her on is not working, just makei her more aggressive and now is getting jerky movements and totally restless at night again...ughhhh and she comes into our room in the middle of theinight.....oh well, maybe one day it will get straightened out....anyway. Week 14 - April 4,2008

Well, I know, I"m late in updating. its been a worldwind of stuff happening. Yesterday was a big day for our 15 yr. old daughter- the first time she went to the Prom with her boyfriend of 2 2 1/2 months and wow, they both looked gorgeous.  What a theme, it was Hollywood! So that is why I didnt update yet but here it today.  Ken gained and Dee gained .02 .  Dee weighed in at 203.6 and Ken weighed in at 205.4, up 1 pound from last week. OUr total combined weight this week is 409.0, up 2 pounds from last week, not great but it will get better. I'm a very stressful eater and this week has been very stressful and its just the beginning, our little girl is quite a handful and well. lets just say its been a rocky road kind of day....but havent had any so thats good.-gotta go see where she is at....til next time dee

Week 13- weighed in 3-28-08

Hey all, well, yesterday was weigh in and not bad, considering. Denise is a little grouchy , pms time- and ken has been very tired working lots of hours.  We're trying to dryout here in Ark, but today received lots of rain and thunderstorms and kind of chilly. Yesterday was a good weigh in for Dee, she weighed in at 203.4, down  1.4 pounds from last week and Ken  stayed pretty much the same, which isnt too bad, didnt gain and thats always a +.  yesterday Ken weighed in at 204.4 and our combined total weight for the week is 407.8- down  1.6 pounds from last week. YAY TEAM- losing is always good..... Next saturday our 15 year old daughter going  to  her first prom with her bofriend of 2 months, thats going to be emotional  for Denise- its always hard to let go of apron strings, even if just for a little bit. But our favorite song is by Rodney Atkins, Cleaning this gun....It's a song about respect and daughters dating.  Anyway, thats next week. Thats its for now. Week 12

ok, I'm going to start this with two (2) words--- SPRING BREAK! Yes, this week was spring break for us and a very stressful one for us.  It also happened to be St. Patrick's Day at the beginning , following with Easter on Sunday, oh, and lest we not forget that Mother Nature was not in a good mood, what with all the flooding here and in Mo. with that being said, just a very little sugar with kids, can go a very long way...:)  This is another reason we limit the sugar intake. I know stress should not be an excuse, nor exhaustion, just THE REASON.  Anywho...Ken weighed in this morning at 204.6, and Denise weighed in ever so slightly higher, at 204.8- did I mention this was a stressful week, being St. Patty's Day, spring break ,flooding, AND Easter rolled all into a nice tight little wet and mushy ball? i did? ok, just wanted to make sure we're on the same page....whew, got that over with.  A little bit of a good note, the weather has been great, nice and sunny and  some of the water has been receding a little.  Our total combined weight this week is now,ddddddddd(drum roll)(symbols): 409.4(and the crowd goes wild!!).  It was sad to see Britney leave the campus but wow, does she look great huh?! We want to thank all of our supporters that are helping us keep up the battle of the bulge...it helps! Keep up great work ya'll- we'll continue to update everyone, keep sending letters of hope and encouragement.!- besides, the attention is great!!lol - will add more photos later see ya later-dee

Week 10- March 7th

well, lets see, its week 10 and time to update ya'll. Its been an interesting  one at least. Denise weighed in at 204.6, down  0.8 of a pound from last week. The weather has been pretty crazy- the winter snow came in with a bang and has left with a bang, with a snow day last tuesday and the kids hate snow days in the house. Technically, it didnt really have to a snow day but another way for the teachers to have a day off. Ken weighed in at 204.6 also, down from 205.4 last week- Our total combined weight this time is 409.2.  Its not bad, it's at least a loss.  HOpefully with the weather turning to spring, we'll be able to do more outside.  Next week is spring break for us here and that's gonna be interesting.  I'm glad Ken was able to lose considering he's been working his tush off, pullin about 60 hours last week plus....Of course it wasnt easy for either of us to stick to healthy eating when you walk by the orange pineapple bundt cake in Sam's.  The way I figure it, you have to allow yourself to splurge once in awhile and we dont that much .  We will check back in soon and hope everyone has a good day and keep up the good work!
 
March 03

Week 9

Well, yesterday was weigh in day and considering the past week and the t.o.m. thing for Dee, it wasnt too bad. Dee hadn't lost but she didn't gain either so it evened out. She was able to get in some exercising and some bike riding while the weather stayed ok. Ken  did ok although he did gain a pound or 2, but to his defense, he had worked alot of hours and wasnt able to get in as much exercising as he would have liked... but it's all good.  Dee's weight remains the same at 205.4 and Ken's weight is now  at 205.4, a 2 pound gain from last week.  For the past week, our total combined new weight is 410.8  but that will quickly change! At least Dee hasnt gained, considering all the challenges she faced.  She is now having some pain in her shoulder on the left side but with proper care will get better.
February 26

Talking about Week 8

  Well, all in all this week has been ok...the weather has been screwy, its t.o.m for me and a friend was taken to the hospital last night so....but i've been sticking to my stuff and watching biggest loser every week and being more active which is a plus.. I'm not seeing big numbers but thats ok. I am losing  an d thats what counts and i'm sure my choles. count is lower because of it.  YOu can definitely see the change in Ken's face, looks slimmer too.  I walk up and down the stairs in the house and will dance to music sometimes(of course when no one's looking...)well gotta go play referee with the girls....

We were able to get in some walks and manage our portions at meals. We think we did quite well considering all the temptation, Ken stayed the same and Dee only gained 0.4lbs. For the past week we gained 0.4lbs combined, bringing our total weight up to 408.8lbs. 
February 15

Week 7

Well it week 7 and we are on our trip to Alabama and the cheating has begun. On our way to the lodge we were taken to Benihana's for dinner, it was too hard to resist. We are sure this next week will be a very tough one for weight loss. We are going to continue our exercise, but our menu is limited so the diet is going to be tough. For the past week we lost 1.6lbs combined, bringing our total weight down to 408.4lbs.
